Hope is that which we create to the bridge between where we are and what we aspire to be.

The insights we hope to convey

The Bible was written to bring a sense of hope and perseverance to survive and progress to individual persons, families and communities throughout the time and localities where it was used.

This website is to bring out passages that could have provided hope for families when they were written, and suggest ways that they can provide hope today.

“The awe of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and reject not your mother’s teaching; for they are a fair garland for your head,    and pendants for your neck.” (Proverbs 1:8-9)

The reality is that finding hope is not in today’s tumultuous global state. Yet, finding and creating hope is an unparalleled responsibility and one that cannot be replaced by others. Keeping the words of the Psalm helps bring home this point.

“A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.” (Psalm 91:7-8)

Each human being is unique and each family and community have differing resources while facing differing challenges. So the resources here may be interpreted in differing ways. Since each of us is born in the ‘image’ and ‘likeness’ of God, this implies that each person has the potential, capacity and responsibility to apply resources in a creative, rational, and free willed manner as he or she sees fit.

These are a set of articles on finding hope in our family.

Our family history and influence goes back many generations. There is always demonstration of hope, otherwise our family would not have existed.

The Bible provides numerous examples of how hope can be found in our family relationships.

The Bible has passages to help people face challenges at every age.

In the Gospels for example, there are a compilation of events and parables that are shared to show that the Christian Way of Life can help every person live a meaningful life and share nurturing relationships.

These will be shared on this site.
